Stories of Sheffield is our ongoing commitment to the artists who shape our city.
Every quarter, we’re introducing a new independent artist and giving their work a home in our rooftop bar at Cambridge Street Collective. Our space is a place where their craft can be seen, felt and celebrated.
Their artwork stays with us for the season, accompanied by the stories behind each piece: the influences, the lived experiences, the cultural threads that make their work unique.
When the quarter ends, a new chapter begins. Another artist, with another perspective, will be celebrated next.
This series is our way of championing independent talent, amplifying local voices and making creativity part of everyday life.
All pieces of artwork will be shown in our Rooftop Bar on the third floor.
First up is Lois - Tuesday 22nd September
Lois’ Story
Lois is a conceptual sculptor studying in Sheffield, whose practice explores the relationship between sculpture, collected objects, embodiment and abstraction.
Through sculpture, Lois questions fixed meanings and creates space to pause, reflect and negotiate our own interpretations.
